HOW TO STORE EBAY INVENTORY?
This is what I do for store inventory and I have found it works great. I have been doing this system for years. I store my products each in airtight plastic bags. If they are the same brand and item but different size I write outside of the bag the size and brand. I then place all of the bags inside large plastic storage bins with lids. I keep all of the storage bins in a large store room, temperature controlled. I identify bins as, shoes, dresses, separates, swimwear, sleepwear, outerwear, other, misc, hair stuff and jewelry, bags and totes.
I have never had any problems with my inventory being stored this way. I have found this works very easily an organized. I stack the large bins atop one another. The smaller bins go on a large shelf. I have a good size storeroom to hold all of the inventory.
Now I keep my auction listings stored in a separate bin with a convenient sized shipping envelope with it, I have it all set up in order of my auction listings. When the listing ends I can easily grab it. The bin size I use for my auction listing inventory is a Christmas tree extra long bin from the container store-they have the best extra long containers ever. These work great for auction listings.
All inventory that is not listed in auctions or store inventory I place these items in the super large plastic airtight plastic bags. I then store the items in storage bins sealed safe. I try to identify these by size such as: one bin is size 0-6 months baby girl, 6-12 months baby girl, 12-24M baby girl, 2T girls,3T girls,4Tgirls, 5Tgirls, 6yrs on up girls. I only have clothing & shoes in these bins. I have another bin for the accessories and misc stuff.
I hope this helps.
