COACH MISC and CARLY GUIDE

(Part 2 of 2)

NOTE: THIS GUIDE DOES NOT COVER THE NEW SLIM CARLY HANDBAGS!

This is my Part 2 of my COACH GUIDE. It is mostly about the CARLY style bag from COACH like styles #10615 and #10616.  I own a few different fabrics, colors and sizes of COACH CARLY's as well as some other COACH styles.   Part 2 will focus on the Carly Leather, Cotton Signature and Other Coach Legacy Stripe Handbags since I have seen a lot of FAKEs of these styles. 

I also visit the COACH store every quarter, just to see what the new styles are like as well as get the latest Catalogs via mail.  I hate to see people being scammed on ebay by these Sellers.

What to look for:

1. This is an example of a REAL Coach Cotton Denim Carly with the Dark Blue interior.  

The following is an example of a FAKE Carly, made with the wrong color combinations and inferior materials:

2. REAL Legacy Fabric Stripes always have the same COLOR combination.  Look closely at the texture of the material. There are several FAKE Legacy handbags I have seen on eBay.  The Correct Color Order is (Pink-White-Green-Orange-Ivory-Brown-Blue-DarkGreen). 3. Coach Carly Leather handbags will have silk lining, a stamp on the outside leather, perfectly centered at the top of the purse COACH EST. 1941. All zippers will have YKK stamped on the side.

Look at the COACH turnlocks since these are signs of a FAKE.  On the Carly handbags they will NOT have Coach stamped anywhere on the turnlocks OR hardware including the dog leash clip.  IF you see pictures showcasing a stamp in these areas it is a FAKE. 4. Coach FACTORY Items have a circle stamped on the Creed Patch and if the style is reissued at the Coach Factory Store may have a different serial number.  Coach Factory pieces can be purchased at up to 50% off the original Coach Store MFSRP prices.  Some sellers do not disclose the fact they purchased at a Factory store and will resell to you at the higher MFSRP.  You can ask for a picture of the tag which will state Coach Factory as well as any Receipt.  A picture of a Factory Creed Patch with the bullseye stamp upper right corner.  These have also been put on FAKE Creeds.

5. There are unfortunately a lot of FAKE handbags for Coach.  The most popular styles are the most heavily copied.  I also have had Counterfeit Sellers viewing my Guide and rating as not HELPFUL.  Pictures from the wwwCOACHcom site can also help you determine whether or not to purchase from a Seller.

6. [RECENT UPDATE] I have seen listings of a couple of FAKE Coach Carly's that had authentic looking turnlocks! They were TOO SHINY but FAKE. See Hardware GUIDE: http://reviews.ebay.com/How-to-spot-a-FAKE-COACH-by-CREED-and-HARDWARE-Part-2_W0QQugidZ10000000004624252  The CREED was still FAKE looking. SEE my Other Guides to see an example of a FAKE creed.  Please look carefully at the listed items.  I have also seen some of the fakes in the Black Signature made with WHITE thread stitching.  If the stitching is not centered on the C's it is a FAKE.

ALL Coach bags have a Coach registration number. Small Pieces will not usually have a Serial Number and are too small for a Creed patch. The first few alpha-numerics are the factory code and date the style was produced, the last alpha-numerics are the style/model number.  See My Part 1 Guide to see if the Creed is a FAKE or REAL Creed even if it has a NUMBER.  ALL Coach Handbags are Guaranteed for the Natural Life of the Product which is 7 Years!

The only reason an Ebay seller would refuse to give you the identification number is because the bag is fake.
