We had a considerable amount of experience with scissors with over 35 years as a professional dog groomer and now a die hard scrapbooker/stamping addict.    For years we bought the best and paid high prices, had them sharpened professionally and eventually they wore out and had to be discarded. Some these scissors cost $40, $50 and more.  Now grooming dogs is tough on scissors and as scissors wore out we opted for less expensive brands and discovered the technology of keeping  a scissors in good operating condition had improved even though prices on many of the low end brands we bought might lead one to think that they quality was lacking.

When we got started in stamping/scrapbooking we went to some parties and saw some scissors that went for over $20 and more.  Oddly, we had s similar pair scissors that we acquired for less than half price that were similar and we were using them for cutting stamps.  Naturally, we eventually caved in and bought the big brand name Stamping scissors and discovered that for the money, the slower priced scissors we were using worked just as good.  So good that we started to import them and several other types of craft scissors and market them.  We, like many of you, often feel  paying big $$$ for a brand name is a waste if their are other decent alternatives.

Well, the scissors we found are going strong after 4 years of  heavy usage.  They also have all proven to be equal to the same tasks the more expensive brands being toted at the stamping and scrap booking parties.  Now realize everybody has preferences but we know there are al ot of folks who have found these alternatives well-suited to expensive brand names. So if you want to save a few dollars, up to 75%, check out  what alternatives you can find on eBay. You can see  several alternatives to expensive scissors at our store:
