How to Stay Organized? Organizing the easy Way!!
•I try to keep it simple, by making 3 plastic container bins in a row
• I then mark them with #1things for Donations, #2 things I need to resell , #3things I have to keep•Ok begin small, start with one room and move on-otherwise you become overwhelmed by the project. Also only go with 3 plastic containers at a time, due to space and interruptions it makes it easier for you. Trust me! Also 1 Giant trash bag for those items that are going bye bye!
How to Begin:
1.Pick a Room, Kitchen, Playroom, Den whatever. Ok lets' say for example kids room
•I start going through everything in each dresser drawer, closet, armoire, cabinet etc- clothes toys everything. I ask myself these questions: Can my child still fit this? Does my child even like this? Do we need this or it is collecting dust? Can I resell it to make money or better to donate it? Or do I just toss it in the garbage bag to toss out.
I look each item over to decide which plastic container bin it belongs in or toss it in the trash bag. When the bins are full I transport the containers for donations to give away in the garage or basement-just stack them until you can take them to donate.
The ones that are for resell I put in a special place the spare bedroom closet kept in the containers clean and safe so I can resell them. The items for keeping I leave in the room and put away as there is now room for these items. The Trash bag I take right to the area where the trash is for trash day!
If there is still clutter continue these steps until the clutter is gone. If there is just too much stuff- perhaps you need to add another dresser or armoire? I know sometimes storage space is limited, perhaps another room with a closet is needed for toys or other items you just can't let go of yet.
I hope this helps.
