How to Measure For a Custom Wig
To determine your correct wig size, take the following measurements. We recommend either braiding, adding corn rows or securing your hair in a stocking wig cap before taking your measurements. This will ensure the best fit for your piece, you want your hair as close to your scalp as possible.
-
Around the Head- Starting at your natural hairline in the front, follow your hairline around the outer perimeter until you reach the front where you started from.
-
Front to Back- Measure from your natural hairline in the front, back over the crown to the bend where your head meets the top of your neck.
-
Ear to Ear- Across the Font of the Head- Measure from your left ear to your right ear, but take the tape measure across the front of your forehead.
-
Ear to Ear- Across the Crown of Head- Measure from your left ear to your right ear, but take the tape measure across the crown center of your head.
-
Temple to Temple- Across the Back of Head- Measure from you left temple to your right temple, but take the tape measure across the back center of your head.
-
Nape of Neck- Measure from your left end of your neck where your hair begins, to the right end of your neck where your hair ends.
