Please vote "yes" at the bottom of this page. This helps me know if all of my hard work putting this together was worth it! Thanks! Jasmine
If you don't want to make your own template, you can use the one I provided here and follow the techniques in this tutorial.
Tutorial Level 1
This tutorial is provided by OYSTERFLOWERS Custom Paper Crafts and is designed for beginners. There are so many ways to make tear bears, but this is for beginners and is very simple. You don't need a template because you will be making your own! No artistic talents needed! Don't worry if your bear isn't "perfect". That is part of the fun of these cute little bears. No matter how hard you try to make them identical, they each have their own personality and expression! Be sure to click on yes to vote for the helpfulness of this tutorial. I worked very hard on this tutorial and took many photos to show you how it's done. Visit my store and contact me anytime for more photos or templates! Thank you so much, Jasmine.
All you need is a brush, white pen, black pen, mulberry paper, plain paper to draw on and water.
On the drawing paper, draw a circle for the head.
Draw a line through the center.
Draw a circle under the line to create the muzzle.
Draw one circle for the ear.
Place the mulberry paper underneath your drawing and use the back of the paintbrush to trace the head.
Do the same for the muzzle and trace the ear twice onto different areas of the mulberry paper.
Wet the brush, but don't let it drip onto the mulberry paper.
Carefully outline the shapes you traced onto the mulberry paper.
Gently tear out the shapes.
When dry, assemble the ears behind the head and the muzzle in front.
Draw the eyes with simple ovals.
Draw the nose, mouth and a few freckles!
When dry, use the white pen to color the inner ears.
Add white dots to the eyes.
Add a white line on the nose.
You're done! You can use white mulberry paper for the muzzle or other colors for a different look! Also, use a hat pin or toothbrush to make it fluffy and chalk around the edges to add some interest! There is so much more you can do, try experimenting!
This concludes Level 1. I will be working on Level 2! Thanks and have fun! Don't forget to vote "yes" if you found this helpful.
