How to make a Christmas Mantel Scarf
Merry Christmas to all
NEEDED
- 1 - 17" square of paper back fusible web
- 4 - 17" square fabric Christmas napkins (gold trees are beautiful)
- 4 - gold tassels
- 1 - hot glue gun
- Should be laid out in a diamond fashion.
- Cut 8 1/2" square from 1 corner of fusible web. Cut 8 1/2" square in half , making two triangles (1 for each end napkin)
- See fusing basics below - fuse a web triangle to wrong side of one corner top of each of the two end napkins. For center pieces of mantel scarf, fuse remaining web piece to remaining napkins. There will be a portions of napkin with out web.
- Arrange napkins wrong side up, positioning fused sections at top of scarf.
- Fold top corners to wrong side of scarf and fuse in place.
- Glue hanging loop of one tassel to each napkins wrong side at each lower point of mantel scarf.

Web material that sticks to iron can be removed with HOT IRON CLEANER
- Place web side of paper - backed fusible web on wrong side of fabric.
- Fuse web to fabric per instructions given with fusible web.
- Remove paper backing.
- Position fused fabric web side down on project.
- Press with heated iron for 10 seconds.
- Lift iron and reposition iron until all fabric is fused
- Repeat, if necessary.
