You can easily make your own natural household cleaners that have several advantages such as being inexpensive, they have no damaging effect on the enviroment and they contain no additives. Because of these 3 advantages they are also unlikely to cause allergic reactions as well.
#1.Pure Soap--Hot water and plain soapflakes with a little washing soda will perform most cleaning jobs. I sounds simple- and it works.
#2. Baking Soda-- One of the mose useful natural products to keep in your kitchen. It can be used for anything from deodorizing refrigerators and garbage cans and cat boxes,to using as a scouring paste to clean chrome, aluminium, pots and pans and fridge interiors. It can also be used as an antacid or a mouth rinse and even toothpaste. To use it as a non-abrasive scouring paste simply dissolve 4 Tbls of baking soda with 4 Tbls of water. Using a soft cloth rub the paste onto the surface to be cleaned. Wipe off with a clean cloth and buff to a shine.
#3. Table salt--Salt is a mild disinfectant and makes a gently abrasive scouring powder.
#4. White Vinegar-- The acetic acid in white vinegar cuts through dirt efficiently. You can use it to clean glass and tiles and to remove stains from coffee mugs, coffee pots, and teapots. Mixed with salt or baking soda it will polish brass and copper.
#5. Lemon Juice-- Citric acid is one of nature's great cleaners. Versatile, safe and fragrant, it cleans exceptionally well. Great for degreasing. Add salt to clean a wooden cutting board or to scour pots and pans. Tea and coffee stains are easily removed with Lemon juice.
#6. Washing Soda-- Washing soda (sodium carbonate) is a natural water softener and cuts through grease, making it an effective heavy-duty cleaner for painted walls, hard floors, and kitchen surfaces.
#7. Essential Oils-- Tea tree, citrus, thyme, sage, and eucalyptus oils have disinfectant properties and can be added to any of the ingredients above for fragrance. Be sure to buy quality, unadulterated oils, and store them in a cool, dark place.
#8. Grapefruit seed extract--is a wonderful disinfectant.
Happy Cleaning!
