For the ASR24 Model
- Place upright in position perpendicular to the receiver hitch attachment.
- Align holes in upright with holes in receiver hitch attachment.
- Insert the bolt into the lower hole of the receiver hitch attachment and upright and tighten nut to the point where the upright has movement.
- Insert clevis pin through upper hole of the receiver hitch attachment.
- Insert bridge pin into the hole in the end of the clevis pin.
- Slide assembled rack into the receiver hitch on your vehicle. Carefully insert the enclosed (5/8”) bolt with the lock washer into the passenger side hole. Tighten the bolt into the anti-wobble nut retainer. Secure rack.
- For 1¼ receiver racks (item number 3012, 3015, and 3016), insert the black shoulder bolt through the receiver as you normally would. The head of this bolt slips into the receiver hole and the square portion locks into the bike rack so that when tightened, it eliminates all wobble.
- Insert bicycle-carrying arms into round holes in the top plate. Align detent pinhole in each carrying arm with hole in top of rack. Insert detent pins, making sure that pins are fully inserted.
- Place bikes in saddles and secure with straps.
- If you use a lockable cable, wrap it at least two times around the upright then through/around the bike frame; then attach the pad lock to the end-loops.
- This is one great product. Keep it in its best working condition by performing routine maintenance.
- Occasionally oil moving parts, especially if your roads are salted during the winter months or you live in an environment with salted air.
- Always check screws, bolts, straps and clips to make sure they are secured and in proper working order before each and every use. It is best to periodically check these during routine stops on each trip taken.
