A Good(G-4) barber quarter will have the date and legends visible.

A Very Good(VG-8) barber quarter will have some letters visible in head band.

A Fine(F-12) will have all letters in liberty clear but not sharp.

A Very Fine(VF-20) will have all letters in liberty evenly plain.

An Extremely Fine(EF-40) will have Liberty bold and its ribbon distinct.

An About Uncirculated(AU-50) will have slight trace of wear.

An Uncirculated(MS-60) will have no trace of wear and light blemishes.

FYI: Prices raise sharply from very good to fine condition.

I hope you found this guide helpful.
