HOW TO GET NCAA Basketball Final Four TICKETS

Most people don't realize that there is a way to get NCAA Final Four tickets for face value.  Every March the NCAA has an online application for tickets for the next year's Final Four.  Registration is usually until the end of May.  The only rub is that you have to pay in advance!!  This years' application (for 2008) is $170 per ticket for upper level or $140 for distant view (next year is at the Alamo Bowl Dome)  You can only fill out one application, but you can submit it up to ten times to increase your odds of being picked.  (BUT, you have to PAY each time).

Here are the details for getting tickets to next year's Final Four:

Ticket Applications will be accepted from March 10, 2007 until 11:59 PM (Eastern time) May 31, 2007.  Applications after the deadline will NOT be accepted

Approximately 5000 upper level seats will be available to the public

Only one application per individual/household, but applicants may submit up to 10 entries

There is a NON-REFUNDABLE handling fee of $5 per entry

Online applications require immediate payment via credit card or electronic withdrawal from bank account.

A random drawing will be held in July, and successful applicants will be notified by August

As you can see there is NO guarantee you will get tickets and the NCAA will sit on your money for up to 3-4 months before issuing any credits, plus keeping the non-refundable fee.  Here is how they justify that:

"Interest income generated from ticket application funds is used to defray the costs of administering the ticket drawing and distribution. Any additional revenue over that cost is applied to the general fund of the NCAA, which finances NCAA championships, membership programs and student-athlete programs."

You must apply online and visit their website, ncaamarchmadness2008

GOOD LUCK
