Many people are beginning to realize that there is more to our bodies than flesh and blood. We are made of energy, we use energy to survive, thought is energy. There are many modalities of energy work including Crystal & Gemstone Healing, Massage, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch to name a few.
There are points on the body where energy intersects and these are called chakras, Sanscrit for "spinning wheels". The body has thousands of these but there are 7 Major chakras that we will talk about today. They are the Base Chakra, it is located at the base of the spine. It is the the center of physical energy, and vitality. The color associated with this is Red. The Sacral Chakra is located about 1 inch below your navel. It is the center for emotions and intuition. The color associated with it is Orange. Next is the Solar Plexus Chakra usually located below the breastbone, just above the navel. It is the center of Personal Power, and ambition. It contains a protection from negativity from the other chakras. The color associated with this is Yellow. The Heart Chakra is located in the center of the chest. It is the center for Love, compassion and spirituality. The color associated with this is Green. The throat Chakra is at the neck, just above the collar bone. It is the center of communication and the color associated with it is Light Blue. The Third-Eye chakra also known as the Brow chakra. It is located between and just above the eyebrows. It is the center for Psychic Power and higher intuition. The color associated with it is Indigo. The Seventh Chakra, the Crown Chakra, The top of the head, it is the center of Enlightenment and the portal for higher energies to connect to the earth body. The color associated with this is Purple.
When your body is in perfect health, mentally and physically, these energy centers are "Open" and there is a warmth radiating from them. When there is a blockage of some kind, physical, mental or emotonal, the chakra tends to close and rotate less. The is a noticeable coolness to the area. I use 2 different methods to detect the energy flow, and anyone can learn these techniques. First I use copper Dowsing rods. I stand about 5 feet from the person and we are facing each other. As I slowly approach the person with my dowsing rods, they will open when they reach the person's energy field. The closer you get before they open is the indication that there is a weak energy field, and the cause can be blocked chakras. A normal field is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet from the body. If someone is excited or angry the energy field can be much farther away, as excited energy projects out. If the energy field seems blocked then you can check each chakra. Center yourself, deep breathing helps me, then place your hand over the base chakra, about 1 inch away from the person, and "feel". You will detect either a coolness, or a warmth, do this over each chakra in order from the base, notice where the coolness is, this is a closed chakra. Now chakras will close when a person is startled, or scared, also a physical trauma can cause a chakra to close. You can open, and clear a chakra by using a lazer wand crystal , when you detect coolness, direct your wand at the chakra and rotate in a small circle clockwise, then check for warmth, if the is none, try counterclockwise, as chakras rotate many directions at anytime. When you feel the warmth radiating, you have opened the chaka. Continue with all seven. When you are done you may continue with other energy work or just bless them and send them on their way.
Other things to work with chakras are, Gemstones, the color of each chakra will help balance energy when placed over that corresponding chakra, also the color of clothing can energize specific energies depending on your mindset that day, if you have a public speaking engagement, wear light blue clothes and wear a light blue gemstone at your throat, possibly aquamarine or blue topaz, these will empower the throat chakra, your center of communication.
