Boyds Bears can really collect the dust if they are not cleaned every so often. Kids also think that these bears are so cute, and well they sometimes get a little to close. I have seen may bears topple over chip or break. Don't Fret! There are ways to clean and repair your precious bears!
How to Clean a Resin Boyds Bear
- First check to be sure your bear does not have sparkles, or any type of material that would be ruined such as a cardboard book or ect.
- Then if it does not simply hold the bear by the base under very slow running water. Be sure NOT to allow the water to run over the bottom. If it does it could ruin the number on the bottom. This number is written in pen and can come off.
- To clean the grass it would be best to use a damp towel and lightly wipe what you can. If you would like to be very particular you could use a little bit of water on a toothbrush to clean the grass.
- Next use a soft towel to dry the bear off. Be very careful not to catch the towel on anything like some of the metal peices that are on some of the bears.

-
Lightly color this spot with the pencil.
