Got a tub or sink that you've tried everything on?
Soap scum build up, ground in dirt and body oils that won't move with your regular cleaner? We've all had these and have spent hours on our hands and knees scrubbing for all we're worth. What if I tell you I can help you clean that scuzzy tub? No, I'm not going to come over to your house and clean it, but I'm going to give you some very simple instructions on how to do it.
How to do it
What you will need:
- A scuzzy tub that stubbornly refuses to come clean.
- Bon Ami or Barkeeper's Friend scrubbing powder.
- Liquid soap or shampoo.
- Scrubbing pad (not brillo or anything that will scratch the tub surface - test the pad in an inconspicuous spot first).
- Water.
- Mix the scouring powder, soap and water into a thick paste (must be spreadable). The shampoo or liquid soap helps break down the oils that are helping the dirt to cling stubbornly to the tub surface.
- Apply paste to the affected areas.
- Allow to set for 30 minutes.
- Come back and scrub with your scouring pad.
- Scrub hard to remove the soap scum and dirt that are still adhering to the tub.
- Rinse.
- You should have a dirt free tub. If not repeat process.
