I signed up a while ago and thought this would be a good thing. I never ended up using there service, not even one message! I received there crappy sms’s costing me 50 cents each so naturally I went to there website and deleted my account. BUT I STILL GET MESSAGES SAYING THAN SOME LOSER WHO USES “SMS.AC” WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND” AND this still costs me. Then when I go to the website to get into my account to delete my number it says “account has been canceled” or something like that. How can my account be canceled if they still have my number. So I decided to contact them but wait because the story doesn’t end there; NOW they want me to join them again/sign in. Just to the sum up the entire ordeal; if you want to cancel your voluntary or involuntary registration with SMS.AC then YOU MUST do the following:

1. Pick up your phone and call 1-888 -697-6722
2. Ensure you are calling during 8am-4pm (they claim they are 24/7 but you get the voicemail when you call outside of these hours)
3. Press 5 to get a hold of the customer service agent
4. After getting a LIVE operator on the line; tell them what your cell phone number is and tell them you want to cancel your SMS .AC account
5. HOWEVER; if you can only call outside their live operator working hours then leave a voicemail of your Mobile Number and your email account to which your SMS.AC account is registered under and they will email you once they have completed the deactivation of your account.
