So you're fond of the idea of starting or adding to your own DVD collection.  What next?

Start by writing down a list of your favorite actors.

Example (here's my list):

-Sarah Michelle Gellar, Johnny Depp, Eliza Dushku, Edward Norton, Alyson Hannigan, Seth Green, Reese Witherspoon, Will Ferrell, Orlando Bloom, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Adam Sandler.

The chances are if you enjoyed their acting in one movie, you'll enjoy other films with them in it.  That's how I added onto my own collection.

Next, type in their names in a search engine like Google, or do an eBay search.  Countless links should come up.  The best link to look at would be the one that starts with imbd.com since they have one of the best resources of actors' filmography.

So I type in Sarah Michelle Gellar on Google and the first link is imdb.com.  I click on it and it takes me right to an info page about Sarah.  It even shows movies that will be released in theaters next year. 

So all you have to do now is go through the list looking at titles of movies and seeing if any of them appeal to you.  If you want to learn more information about the movie all you have to do is click on the link and it'll take you right to an info page about that movie including a short plot outline and a cast overview.

After that you'd have a list something like this:

Sarah Michelle Gellar:  The Grudge, Scooby Doo, Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed, Harvard Man, Cruel Intentions, Simply Irresistable, Small Soldiers, Beverly Hills Family Robinson, Scream 2, I Know What You Did Last Summer, not to mention all of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons.

Johnny Depp:  Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest, Secret Window, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Libertine, Finding Neverland, and Sleepy Hollow.

Eliza Dushku:  Wrong Turn, The Kiss, City By the Sea, Bring It On, Soul Survivors, and The New Guy.

Edward Norton:  Red Dragon, The Italian Job, Kingdom of Heaven, Fight Club, American History X, and Primal Fear.

Alyson Hannigan:  Date Movie, American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding, Rip It Off, Boys and Girls, and all of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer seasons.

Seth Green:  Without A Paddle, The Italian Job, Knockaround Guys, Idle Hands, Party Monster, Scooby Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed, and the 3 Austin Powers movies.

Reese Witherspoon:  Just Like Heaven, Vanity Fair, Sweet Home Alabama, Walk the Line, Legally Blonde, Legally Blonde 2, and Cruel Intentions.

Will Ferrell:  Wedding Crashers, Bewitched, Kicking & Screaming, Anchorman, Elf, Old School, Melinda and Melinda, and Zoolander.

Orlando Bloom: Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest, Elizabethtown, Kingdom of Heaven, Troy, The Calcium Kid, Lord of the Rings (all 3 movies), Black Hawk Down, and Ned Kelly.

Ben Stiller:  Duplex, Dodgeball, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Envy, Starsky and Hutch, Along Came Polly, Zoolander, and Heavy Weights.

Owen Wilson:  Starsky and Hutch, You Me and Dupree, Cars, Wedding Crashers, Zoolander, The Big Bounce, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Armageddon.

Adam Sandler:  Click, Mr. Deeds, Happy Gilmore, Anger Management, 50 First Dates, Eight Crazy Nights, Little Nicky, Big Daddy, and the Waterboy.

Now you have the movies you want to buy, now all you have to do is type the movies into the eBay search and you'll be able to find the movie you're looking for.
