How to Become A Professional Home Stager

To be a home stager, you do not need to become certified (contrary to what you may have heard) nor do you need to pay thousands of dollars to attend home staging seminars.

The home staging business is not regulated like interior design or other fields where you need special licensing, training, and credentials.

Home staging is a field where a creative person who has a knack for interior decorating can get paid very well providing a needed service. Even if you do not necessarily feel you are above average at decorating, you can still learn the methods behind home staging and do fine. Much of home staging is just following the directions.

It isn't brain surgery--that's why I cringe when future home stagers tell me about how many thousands they've spent for home staging business training and certification.

Home staging is lucrative, yes. But even more lucrative is selling needless home staging credentials to people who think they need them!

You can start a home staging business without certification. You will need to understand how to stage houses and you'll need to know how to run a home staging business (the business side of it), but this is possible without special home staging classes.

There are affordable home based options for home staging business training.

Here is a list of places where you can learn everything you need to know about home staging and running a home staging business:

homestagingsuccess.com

homestaginginstitute.com

Another advantage of these programs, aside from the money you'll save, is that you can start these home staging programs whenever you want, and complete the training at your own pace.
