Once you have purchased your XM Radio, you will want to get it activated as soon as possible so that you can start to enjoy the over 170 channels that XM Radio has to offer!

The activation process is very easy!

Here are the steps that you will have to take to begin enjoying your XM Radio!

First you will want to install your XM Radio, whether it be in the car, home, boombox, or boat.

Be sure that the unit has power and is turned on and tuned to Channel 1.  That is the XM Preview Channel and the Channel that the XM Radio must be tuned to to receive the signal from the XM Satellites to turn on.

To activate, you can either call XM Radio Listener Care at 1-800-967-2346 or visit the XM Radio Website (due to eBay Policy, we can not publish the XM Radio Website on this Guide).

You will need to have the XM Radio ID Number, which can be found on several locations: Channel 0 will show the XM Radio ID Number, on the back or bottom of the unit, and on the back of the packaging that the unit came in.

If you call to Listener Care Center, provide the representative with the XM Radio ID Number and your personal information to Activate your XM Radio.  There is a $14.99 charge to Activate over the phone.

If you go online to Activate, simply fill out the Activation Form and submit to XM Radio.  There is a $9.99 charge to Activate online.

Again, be sure that your XM Radio is on and tuned to Channel 1, and in about 15-30 minutes, your XM Radio will be Activated!  Once Channel 7 is downloaded onto your XM Radio, your XM Radio is fully Activated!

If your XM Radio is not Activated in 1 hour, please call the Listener Care Center and they will refresh your XM Radio for you free of charge.
