Watch the return policies of guys selling gun related items, especially grips on Ebay. I didn't do my research enough recently-relaxed my guard and got burned. Go back several pages of feedback if you are making a purchase. Read the ME page(s). I was burned by a guy selling low grade grips, (I believe seconds) . Even got a nasty letter with my 1st purchase, explaining why he won't exchange or refund! That's a how to do! (amazing ,it's actually aggressive and nasty)On his ME page, he refers to negative feedback leavers as bad, evil and stupid (after miles of his bad spellings and grammatical mistakes!). I don't want to sound snotty, I am a simple man. But if a guy or gal doesn't take the time to check the spelling in their titles, listings, letters, etc. that tells me a lot. (one or two mistakes is okay-we are all human).
Do the research. I have come to the conclusion that if there are ,say three or more feedbacks regarding the same issue (here, quality and fit) you have to pay attention to that. As much as you want them, think about it. Some of the biggest sellers here are scammers. One gun parts dealer comes to mind. Sold me "wilson" parts for a1911. They weren't wilson. Sold me a mag (back when they were allowed here), factory. Certainly not factory. These guys are big numbers, and the masses don't know any better. If you are paying close to retail, well, go retail. Where you can return it, or verify it. And they don't send you a nasty letter with your first order.
