Getting ready to quilt your quilt and wondering how much thread you will need.  Depends on how much quilting you are going to do.  Here is an estimate of what you will probably need.

Light Quilting/Medium Quilting/Heavy Quilting

Laptop/Crib size quilt: 200 yds./400 yds./600 yds.
Twin size: 400 yds./800 yds./1,200 yds.
Queen size: 600 yds./1,000 yds./1,600 yds.
King size: 700 yds./1,500 yds./2,000 yds.

While these number are just estimates they should give you an idea of where to start.  This estimate is for the top thread only, you will need to double it if using the same thread in the bobbin.
