How do I choose a perfume and fragrance that is best for me?

Perfume / fragrance is all about self-image. It reflects your interests, lifestyle and personality. It makes a woman feel prettier, cleaner or sexier and it is really no different for men.

A very basic thing to understand about the use of perfume / fragrance is that all scents are not suitable for all people. Choice of perfume / fragrance should not be based on name, value or even by perusing a list of its contents. You need to try it on your skin and see if it works for you.

There are different categories of scents, some are floral, some are fruity, some are woody, some are blended and so forth. You need to take time to explore what scents are best with your body chemistry and with the desired effect of the perfume. You should take the time to smell all types to find scents that are pleasing to you. If you are uncertain whether you want to purchase a certain perfume / fragrance, try to get sample or tester version of the product wear it two or three days in a row and ask others for honest comments. It is also a good idea to see how the scent smells to you coming out of the bottle, if it smells too strong, chances are it is much too strong for you.

It is also said that choosing a perfume that suits you is a matter of pheromones; pheromones are a scent that is given off by each individual, often functioning as an attractant of the opposite sex. Based on this theory the stronger your pheromones are, the lighter the fragrance you should choose and  the weaker your pheromones are, the stronger it should be.

Finally, the best way to know that you made it is when you walk into a room where people are drawn in by the pleasant smell of your perfume and when you find that the perfume you are wearing helps you effectively to seduce a lover.
