How To Use Clear Digital Images To Attract Lots of eBay Buyers

Good and detail descriptions will get you lots of bids; good and clear photos will attract lot of buyers. It will also help the buyers to decide whether they want to place a bid or not. Providing good quality images also bring you up as a professional eBay seller. Here are a few strategies about taking clear photos.

Set up a simple photo studio to capture digital images. Keep it separated from the rest of your house. Don’t let other people disturb your photo studio; lock it properly to prevent your children from messing it up.

If you don’t have any extra space in your house to set up a studio, you can take your photos outdoor. Make sure the sunlight is bright enough for you to take some good quality pictures.

Good contrast between the object and background is very important to make your overall picture stands out. You can do this by preparing two backgrounds, light colour (preferably white) and a dark colour. If the object is light colour, use a dark background and vice versa.

Invest in a good quality digital camera. Mega pixel is one of the key components that you need to consider carefully. Other than that, the camera’s ability to take clear close ups is also very important. How close the camera can focus? How well does the zoom work?

It is perfectly fine to buy a second hand digital camera from eBay. With mega pixel 2 or 3 is good enough. You only need to capture 640 X 480 pixels because most monitors can’t display more than that. You can set your digital camera’s resolution to 640 X 480 pixels.

Clean your product properly before taking photos. If it is gold or silver, polish it. If it is some old merchandise, wash it. No buyers want to buy dirty items. Even though your products is used or second hand, make sure it is clean.

Take several photos from different angles. Buying online is very different compare to buying from a brick and mortar shop. Your buyers can’t hold products and feel them. The best thing you can do for them is to show the products from all possible angles. It will give more confidence to the buyers to buy from you.

After you have taken your digital images, the next step is to host them. You can host them on your own website or other image hosting website. If you don’t have a website, you can host them on some free image hosting websites. Go to Yahoo or Google and type “free image hosting”. You will be able to find some very good and free image hosting websites.
