Interested in sprucing up your eBay store?  Have you been shopping around for a custom logo to help build your brand but are afraid that you aren't "technical" enough to know what to do with it?  Then this guide is for you!  We'll take you step-by-step through the process of uploading a custom logo to your store. Whether you have purchased your custom logo from Auctionblurbs Custom Designs or another designer, we hope this guide will help get you on your way to a super-looking eBay store in no time!

The Basics

Ebay stores support a logo that is 310 x 90.  This size is measured in pixels.  Any custom logos that you purchase should be created with these exact dimensions.  If you are not sure of the dimensions of your logo, ask your designer.  Ebay will automatically resize logos that are too large. This can sometimes make your logo look distorted.

You Purchased A Logo - Now What?

Once you have chosen a designer and they have completed work on your project, most likely they will send you your logo as an email attachment.  First, you must "detach" or download the logo to you computer.  You should always be sure to download the file to a folder you will be able to easily locate later.

Once you  have successfully downloaded the file, you will need to upload it to your image hosting service.  You can use eBay's Picture Manager or any other online service where you can store image files.  Once you have uploaded the file to your image host, you are ready to put it on your eBay Store.

Displaying Your New Logo

Below are step-by-step instructions for how to get your new logo on your eBay Store:

  1. From your My eBay Summary Page, click on Manage My Store.
  2. On the left under Store Design, click Display Settings.
  3. To the right of the header that says Basic Information, click Change.
  4. Scroll down to the Store Logo Section.
  5. Choose the 4th Option: Use my own logo located at the following URL:
  6. Click the radio button next to this option and enter the URL for your logo.
  7. Click Save Settings.
  8. You should now be returned to the Display Settings page where you will see your new logo.
  9. Click on the red door icon next to your eBay User ID.  You should now see your logo displayed on your store.

Common Problems:

  • In step 6, I am asked to enter the URL for my logo.  How do I find this information?

The URL is simply the web address where your logo resides on the Internet.  You can find this information in several ways.  Most image hosting services display the URL right beneath the thumbnail (or preview) image.  Log into your image hosting account and look for something that says URL or Web Address with a long string of characters next to it.  The URL will begin with http://.

  • I have followed all the steps, but do not see a logo on my eBay Store

First, check to be sure your logo is displaying next to "Store Logo" on the Display Settings Page. (Click on Manage My Store, then Display Settings).  If you do not see your logo, chances are the URL that you entered is incorrect.  Double check the URL that you entered. Be sure that you have not left out any characters.

If you can see your logo on the Display Settings page, but do not see it on your eBay store, you may have to change the Theme you have selected.

  1. From the My eBay Summary Page, click on Manage My Store.
  2. Click on Display Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the section that says Theme and Display and choose Change to Another Theme.
  4. Try selecting one of the two last choices, either Classic Left or Classic Top.

We hope that you have found this guide to be helpful and informative!
