Hello...Please allow me to introduce myself...

I'm a very special item, I'm a perfume bottle, although I've never held perfume inside of me...not yet anyway. I was for sale last week on eBay. I had my picture in my very own auction and I looked pretty good if I say so myself! There were a few buyers who fought over me and one lady went all out to buy me! She was determined to win me, and she did! My seller got pretty excited when the auction was over and you won't believe what she did then. (Well maybe you would, but it surprised me since I was never sold on eBay before)

Within minutes she was packing me up to be delivered to my new owner...no kidding! Since I'm made of crystal.  (Crystal is a fancy kind of glass from Lalique, that's in France)
I'm used to being handled very carefully....you see, I'm kinda fragile and what some people would call precious....it made me blush to say that, but it's true!

The first thing she did was to gently wrap me up in some very soft, pretty pink tissue paper which felt quite nice. Then she had some really neat stuff she calls bubble wrap. This stuff is so cool...it has little cushions of air on it so when you're all wrapped up it feels like your floating in the air! It's like being weightless...I've never felt like that before....and I liked it! I looked  about 3 or 4 times bigger than I really am by the time she put me in a new, clean box. I was "snug as a bug in a rug" so to speak. By then I  was having a little trouble hearing what was going on cause of all the bubbles around me...The sound was muffled a bit, but I was able to hear enough to know I was being put in another box. Yep, that's right....a brand new, bigger box that was filled with something called peanuts! Yep...peanuts, if you can believe that! These little peanuts were as light as a feather and a very pretty shade of pink. (I like pink!) Anyway, when the bigger box was filled to the very top with the lovely pink peanuts she added a nice hand written thank-you note before she carefully taped the box closed.

I could hardly hear what she was doing then...but I think she was putting stickers on the big box. Later on I saw that they said stuff like "Fragile" and Handle With Care" on them...and a big white label (that she had to pay for) was put on the top and completely covered with tape that you could see through. I then heard my seller whisper a little prayer for my new owner and for my safety, which made me smile.

Before I could say eBay, I was put in a car and taken for a ride. I found myself in a really neat place called a Post Office. I knew I was being moved around quite a bit when I was there and once or twice I thought someone threw me across a room....but I was still very snug and comfortable. In fact, all this moving around kinda made me sleepy. All I remember at that point is a deep voice that said something like "airport'...then I fell asleep.

When I woke up I found myself in my new home....When my new owner opened up the big box I heard her say that she liked the note and pink peanuts. When she found the smaller box I could hear the smile in her voice when she said that she was so happy that I arrived so quickly. I was smiling when she opened it and found me nestled inside....safe and sound. I looked down at the floor and saw the big box with all the stickers on it. It was in pretty bad shape, which really surprised me. It was in terrible shape, yet I was still perfect!

So, that was my big adventure last week! I don't think I will do it again for a very long time cause my new family really loves me. They keep saying that I'm beautiful and that they can't believe they found me for such a great price. They had to spend a little extra money for my special "handling", but they say I am worth every single penny they spent to make me a part of their family.

It's so nice being special....!
