First, I have been making $$$ on eBay for 7 years and this is the strategy I have used since the very beginning.  It ALWAYS works if you do it right.  1--Pick your favorite genre of music (mine is Hip Hop) and know what sells and what doesn't sell (AKA what CDs are hot and people want...the Classics, Hot New Stuff, rare CDs, ect...)  2-buy a BULK LOT (50 CDs or more) with mainly sellable CDs: that means at least half are sure sells,  3-make sure you charge MORE than shipping will cost so you can pay eBay fees and PAYPAL (yes, you GOT to have Paypal to be a successful seller),  4-join STAMPS.com so you can ship merchandise immediately w/o going to the PO every day to mail your packages,  5-resell them ONE BY ONE using a reasonable low price,  and finally 6-repeat!!!

This is a great way to make extra cash and it is very easy to manage and ship from your house.  I have made over $10,000 and held a job, it even paid for 3 years of college after I saved up.  You get better at it the more you do it and the more experience you get.  Plus, in the meantime you get to hear alot of music (keep some CDs for yourself) and if you are like me get a CD Burner and burn off the good songs be4 you sell them!!!!
