What do you see at almost every yard sale that you go to ........ Jeans, they are everywhere! Flea markets, thrift stores, your closet ect.... This guide will help you make some extra  money selling those used jeans on Ebay. I have been selling Jeans for about 3 years now, and have learned alot about what sells and what doesn't, hope this guide will help you earn a little extra  money and save you some time and headaches.

The first thing you will need is set up your account to sell on Ebay.  Next you are going to need a decent digital camera, a 3.0 mp or higher to take pictures of the jeans.

I normally find my jeans that I sell on Ebay are at yard sales, on average I only pay $1 to $2 dollars max on a pair of jeans. Sometimes I find good deals at the local flea market.

So, what kind of jeans do I sell ?  first of all sell what you know, My favorite pair of jeans to sell are Levi's, they are my top selling jean, I will discuss pricing later in the guide.

Here is an example of a typical Saturday for me. I up at about 7am and on the road by 7:30 looking for the yard sale signs, when I spot a yard sale with Jeans I go directly to them. When I inspect the jeans, I ask myself, " would I buy these jeans for myself ?" If not, I will not buy them. I look for rips, tears , holes.... becareful, some jeans are made that way !  I also look for wear on the knees and stains. Also check to make sure they zip up and button correctly.  After I make my purchase, im on the road to the next one.

Which Jeans sell the best ?  Here is my top selling jean list.

# 1 seller    Mens Jeans   ( Hard to find at yard sales, snatch em up when you find them )

# 2 seller    Boys Jeans    ( Moms know boys are hard on jeans, ive sold alot of em )

#3 seller     Womens Jeans  ( They are everywhere, so look for name brand, and very clean jeans )

#4 seller     Girls Jean         ( Name brand is best, but make sure they are "cute" looking )

#5 seller     Baby Jeans  ( Make sure they are very clean, new moms dont want stained clothes on their baby )

What kind should I look for ?

Mens jeans - Look for Levi's, Wranglers, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein

Boys jeans - Look for Levi's, Wranglers, Tommy Hilfiger. You sometimes can get away with selling Walmart or Target jeans if they are in really good shape.

Womens Jeans - Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie, Mudd, L.e.i., Lucky, Calvin Klein, Western Jeans.

Girls Jeans - Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Mudd, L.E.I. also look for Walmart or Target Jeans, make sure they are in really good shape.

Baby Jeans - Any name brand listed above will do.  Name brand sells the best.

What color of Jeans sell the best ?

My number 1 selling color is the blue jean, I have little luck with white, black and especially red.

How should I price the Jeans ?

You can price them in a couple ways, list your jeans on the auction starting at $4.99 or do a buy it now at about 50 to 75 %  of retail price.

Example: I buy a pair of Levi jeans at a yard sale for $1, and I list them as a buy it now for $11.99 with a $6.00 shipping and handling fee.

Pictures and Listing your Jeans

Take a look at some of my listing to get an idea of how to display the jeans for pictures, also you can copy and paste my listing description for your jeans.  Be very descriptive when doing your listing, make sure to explaing any flaws you see, people will still buy as long as you tell them if there are any flaws .

How do I ship the jeans ?

The cheapest way I have found is to go to your Sam's Club and buy a case of the 8x15 inch bubble envelopes. You can easily fold a pair of jeans in one of those envelopes, on average it costs about $5.50 to $6.00 to mail a pair of jeans depending on the size and weight.
