Learning how to make boutique hair bows!
I started making them because I was buying them for my little ones hand over fist to match their outfits and it was costing me a fortune! We are Gymboree and Baby Lulu addicts and as you know their clothes are expensive enough, adding on custom hair bows and accessories makes it even more costlier! With ribbon in hand I started making my designs, learning from my mistakes and continuing on.
We would get so many compliments on their hair bows! It brought/brings so much attention to them that they think that they are the stars of the show! LOL I had so many offers to make them that I just gave in and started selling them! I have never looked back since! It has been very rewarding for our family in many ways. Having them along side me at times, helping me is the best!
When choosing your instructions look for a seller who offers a variety of bow designs, from babies to teens and everywhere in between! That can be confusing at times because most sellers seem to offer the same instructions - i.e., the loopy loop bow and just using different ribbons colors and styles.
Other things to look for:
A seller who offers support after you purchase their product. Do they have a group where others can share ideas, techniques and help each other out?
Sellers resources? Where to find the best supplies -- i.e., ribbons, clips, etc., at wholesale and the best prices around even if you don't have a tax id! or even if you don't want to buy just big rolls of ribbon! Because you don't want to purchase ribbons from your local craft store it will cost you a fortune!
Teaching you techniques to help you make a professional product without spending a fortune! For instance, teaching you how to line your hair clips to help your hair bows stay in even the finest gossamer baby locks without coming out! And not by buying those worthless hair clip gripping things that claim to stay into your babies hair when in truth they are only harmful cut up makeup sponge wedges!
Check their feedback and see what their customers have to say!
A seller who offers updates.
An instruction seller that has been around, been there done that and made the costly mistakes that you can benefit from their knowledge instead of making those costly mistakes.
You don't want a seller who just talks the talk and has bought instructions from OTHER sellers themselves! You want someone who not only talks the talk but walks the walk!
Original bow designs. That may somewhat confusing since it seems that some others copy others designs, for instance Character/Critter bows. A seller may claim them as their own. You can tell if you look around for the original designer by looking at their bows and feedback. The knock off's do not look as anywhere as nice as the originals.
A seller that will teach you how to package and present your product and to help you sell your bows at various venues.
Over all, get the most for your money! And buy from a reputable seller who has been around that shows you that their products have standed the test of time!
Remember that it is like anything else in life, you out of it what you put into it!
I hope this has helped you some!
God bless :)
