I make OoaK (One of a Kind) Life-Size Halloween Dolls and sell them here at eBay. It's my passion! I have had alot of people ask me how to make a simple one and this is what this guide is about. I thought I would share this with the eBay community, and anyone who is intersted in trying to make one. Please bear in mind that this is a simple doll. You can get as elaborate as you like, but this particular one, anyone can mak. Your kids can do it too, with a little adult help. Why not make your own fun doll today? To get started...
You Will Need:
Tights, Bodysuit, Strong Pantyhose OR Jeans.
Long Sleeve Turtle-Neck Shirt
Dress OR Costume
Gloves, Boots, Hat
Stuffing (old rags, newspaper, styrofoam peanuts, leaves, old pillows or nice fiberfill)
Head
Long Wooden Dowel OR Long Stick
Wig
Strong Nylon Fishing Line, Or A Chair!
Wooden Hanger
How To Assemble The Doll:
Stuff the clothing. Either sew or safety pin the shirt and pants together. Tie off the sleeves cuffs and bottom legs of pants. Add a dress if female. Stuff doll legs into boots. Add stuffed gloves. Pin or sew them on, depending on how much time and effort you want to put into this and how permanent you want it to be. Remember, this is a SIMPLE doll!
Place the wooden hanger in the dolls shirt. Use this to hang over a tall fence or hook over the top of a chair, to allow it to sit up straight. You can also tie a length of fishing line on a hook on your patio or wherever you want the doll to stand. Make a loop in the line. Hang the hanger through the loop. If you prefer, you can also sew a loop on the back of dolls shirt and attach the fishing line to the loop. Then make a loop and hang on the hook. *I like to double my fishing line and I use 50 lb. test, clear nylon.
Add a head (wig stand, pumpkin, or make a papier mache one... kids can help). Put the stick in the head and stuff it deeply into the body. Add a hat and any accessories you wish. Most of all..... Have FUN!!!
*See my other guide for how to make a Papier Mache Head (Titled "How To Get a Head In Life"). Also I have a guide for fun Halloween Party Decorating Ideas and another one with some very easy, delicious and fun HALLOWEEN RECIPES! Please check them out and if you enjoyed them, would you vote yes? That is so appreciated, as we often put alot of time into writing guides to share . It's really nice to know they are enjoyed and useful! (if they are ☺) THANK YOU!
*Hope you'll check out my store, "Rock On by Audi" and the Life-Size OoaK Halloween Dolls I make to sell.. they are quite a bit different (and better) than these. I think you'll enjoy them!
