Since people have been investing in my eBay Magic course to learn how to make money on eBay, I seem to be getting the same question over and over and here it is....
"What type of eBay should I run that will make me the most money?"
It's a good question but one that definitely needs some deep thought and I'll tell you why.
It's not always 'how much money' you can make, but more importantly, what type of lifestyle your eBay business is going to give you. In my opinion anyway.
I often start out by suggesting to my members that they might want to concentrate on just making the same amount of money as they currently do in their jobs or businesses that they want to get out of.
Imagine this...
Just say you had a job that you couldn't stand. Your pay was say $1000 a week. What if, within 3 months of starting your eBay business you could just make $1000 a week...but now you worked from home, in your own hours. And I'm talking only a couple of hours a day! Wouldn't that be a great start?
Now you could get up at the time of day that suited YOU...not your crappy alarm clock.
Now you could spend your days enjoying what you do instead of wishing your life away so you could stop doing what you currently are.
Now you could have plenty of free time to spend with the people you love most instead of spending most of your waking hours with work associates or people you don't want to.
And now you could really concentrate on growing and expanding your eBay business so that you can finally live the life of your dreams.
See, too many people get caught up in the 'big numbers' and then don't know where to start. Of course it's normal but I believe in strategising and doing it all right from the beginning.
So, how about starting out with one product at a time like I did? I was making around $700 a week for the first 3 months selling on eBay. And then I got more serious and found a few products that I could sell on an ongoing basis.
This is what I'd suggest you do. Why not just clean out the house and sell everything you no longer want or need? Hey, even eBay suggests that every home has at least $2,200 worth of stuff lying around that could be sold on eBay!
It's true you know. I have testimonials on my website to back this up!!
Why not start out this way and just grow from there?
In fact, my friend Kate just made her first sale on eBay last night. It was an old Jag t-shirt her boyfriend had tossed in the bin! She put it up for auction and it sold for $20.50! Now... I know it's not much, but that shirt was in the bin for goodness sakes!
Another friend Dani just emailed me last week to say she'd made $500 in her first week selling off her kids old toys. Her boys are 6 and 8 yrs old and they are selling all their old toys so mum can replace them with new ones! Priceless ;D
Another couple Nancie and Jeff made $2,105 with their first 9 auctions following all our proven steps in the eBay Magic course...
So....this is what I'd do if I were you.
Over the next few weeks I'm going to talk about how I decide what type of eBay business is best, depending on what type of person you are.
Make sure you come back and see what I have to say.
Talk soon,
Amanda.
