So you're interested to know how you can get your videos to rank higher and making them easier to find. Good. Follow the steps that I am about to show you.

Step 1: Before you upload a video to any video sharing sites, or thinking about creating a video, it is helpful to do some keyword research in your target market and find out what keywords are popular and geting tons of views. Try using WordTracker free keyword tools.

Step 2: Since Youtube is the most popular video sharing site, let's use it for our research. With  SEO in mind, you need to optimize your videos to make them easily searchable by people.

Step 3: Next, visit YouTube.com and do a  basic keyword research.  You can start to discover what types of videos are most popular. Simply type in the main keyword for the product or serivce you wanted to market.  Look at the thumbnail picture, title, keyword tags and view count of the videos in the search results.

Step 4 : The popularity of a video can be judged by looking at the views count. It is important to see that there are two ways that videos results are returned: By title of the video and the ‘tags’ used on description of the video.

Step 5: When you submit videos, make sure you enter all these tags. More importantly, ensure that your main keyword and secondary keywords if possible, are in the video title.

You can scream and shout this is common sense but you need to understand most people who submit videos are not savvy. I am sure you have seen some of the popular videos just one or two tags added like an afterthough, worst still totally unrelated tags.

So don't forget  the above steps which can make or break the popularity of your videos.
