Ok now you know that on ebay there are tons of sellers that sell fake Ezra Fitch jeans.  I could tell you that probably 95% of the new ezra fitch jeans on ebay are FAKES!  I own many pairs of authentic ezra fitch jeans and this guide will tell you how i found them instead of buying replica ezra fitch jeans.

The key to it is the back leather patch and the Ezra Fitch stitching on the inside of the waistband.  Believe it or not you can tell the authenticity of Ezra Fitch jeans literally by seeing a picture of the back leather patch or the waistband stitching.  If you're every thinking about buying a pair of Ezra Fitch jeans on ebay make sure to always ask the seller for a picture of the back leather patch and/or the ezra fitch stitching.  When viewing the picture of the patch make sure that it looks like genuine leather.  A real pair of Ezra Fitch jeans will have the patch looking worn/antiqued like its been worn for a long time.  The leather will also have a glossy/shiny finish to it which will usually make it glare if the flash goes off from the camera.  All of the fake jeans that you will see will have a so called "new" looking patch.  It won't be antiqued at all making it look like it was just slapped on the jeans.  If you already have a pair of jeans and are curious about the authenticity all you have to do is scratch the patch with your fingernail and if it leaves a mark it's real.  If it doesn't, it's fake.  Here is a picture of an AUTHENTIC pair of Ezra Fitch Jeans followed by a FAKE pair of Ezra Fitch Jeans:

You can also tell authenticity by the Ezra Fitch stitching on the wasitband.  Authentic ezra fitch jeans will have "perfect stitching" meaning that none of the letters will run together with stitching.  Fake Ezra Fitch jeans will usually have a piece of thread going from the "E" to the "Z", or the "F" to the "I" for example.  If the thread isn't running from one letter to another then you have authentic jeans.
