Most people may not think of a bathroom as the most interesting room to decorate. That's kind of a shame because children spend plenty of time in a bathroom - at least every night for their bath. Not to mention, guests often wander in and out of your bathroom during visits. Keeping this in mind, why don't you decorate your extra or child's bathroom in a fun, child-friendly theme. It does not have to be very expensive as everything you need can be found on ebay.

What Else You Can Do
Besides buying the obvious pieces for your bathroom, there are other things you can do that will make the room look great:

Paint - light blue or yellow is very soothing and very pretty in the bathroom. They are also colors that can be used with many different themes as your children grow and move out

Borders - I don't recommend borders in a bathroom. I tend to find that they peel from the steam that comes from a hot shower or bath

Generic Accessories - You don't have to have every accessory in your bathroom match. For example, if you are going with the Mickey theme, look for a plain white trash can and kleenex box cover. It will help save money and will still look very nice.

Change or add knobs to the cabinets - It is an easy renovation; just take off the old knobs and screw on new ones or drill holes and add new ones. It is a great look and can make a big difference in a bathroom.
