The rugged Leather Bomber Jacket is always fashionable as well as practical. It conjures up the "bad boy" image of daring pilots or bikers. Taking care of it properly will keep it looking good for many years. The Leather Manufacturers Associations offers the following tips for caring for your leather garments and shoes:
)Always hang your leather jacket on a wide hanger in order to maintain its shape. Do not store it in plastic or any other non-breathable cover. These covers can cause the leather to dry out and become stiff.
)Use shoetrees to help maintain the shape of leather shoes and boots.
)If your leather item does get wet, allow it to dry naturally. Do not put it in front of a radiator or fireplace as the leather will dry out.
)Sponge off salt deposits from shoes.
)Do not use adhesive badges or pins on your leather garments.
)Before using any leather care products, test it on a small, inconspicuous section of your garment.
