eBay is all about honesty.  I have been an eBay member for several years now and have realized that the key to the success of sellers and buyers is honesty.

Unfortunately, in our world today full of scammers and too-good-to-be-true gimmiks, its hard to find an honest person.  I have dealt with great eBayers and not-so-great eBayers, but the following holds true:  eBay is place to find anything and buy anything and I am sticking to it!

Top Ten Tips to be Successful on eBay:

10. BE HONEST
Honesty is the key to a great eBay community.  Since our transactions are between each other, we must be honest in our selling and buying.  Honesty will create more excitement and trust in our community, which means more items to buy and more items that will be sold!

9. BE SMART
At the same time we must be smart.  If someone is trying to offer you something that seems too good to be true, then it probably is!  Be smart and do the right thing.  Check all your information first before taking any risks.

8. DO YOUR RESARCH
It is imperative that you do all the resaerch you can when you are selling an item and buying an item on eBay.  When I go to sell something I watch other similar items being sold on eBay and notice where the buyers are going.  I find out what will be my best plan to sell sucessfully.

7. FOLLOW THE RULES
eBay is constantly updating their rules and guidelines so that our community will be more effective and profitable.  If you follow the rules it will create a more harmonious place for us all...and for you!

6. REPORT SPAM AND SCAM
This past week alone I received a dozen fake eBay and Paypal e-mails.  The scammers are out there, waiting to take the next victim.  Do your part to report these people and our community will become a better and safer place.

5. BE SECURE
With all this scam and spam, its best to be secure in all you do.  Having Paypal has been a blessing to me in so many ways.  Make sure you do all your transactions securely and confidentially.

4. HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE
It's easy to get discouraged if you have lost money or gotten a bad buyer or seller on eBay.  Even so, keep a good attitude on eBay.  A positive mind and an optimistic spirit is contagious!

3. COMMUNICATE
Successful familes and successful businesses communicate.  We need to be clear in our information and be available when people need to reach us.  Your communication will only make you look better!

2. PROMOTE eBAY
If I counted on my hands the number of times I mention eBay in a conversation everyday , I would need a few more fingers.  The more we promote eBay, the more people will go to our community to buy goods.  It's EASY ADVERTISING!

1. HAVE FUN
eBay is not worth using if we are not having fun.  If you are like me, I get so excited when I have an item to sell or I am bidding on an item.  I must check my account a dozen times a day...it's so much fun!  Have fun and enjoy this awesome opportunity!
