The purpose of my Guide is to protect yourself from those who would love to take your money with out any interest in the product you have to sell.
I was trying to sell two weeks of a time share. Within two weeks of puting this up for sale, I received an offerr to purchase said time share from a man who would send me a check immediately for the full price PLUS OVERPAYMENT with no negotiations, and then asked for the $5000.00 overpayment back from the check when his check cleared my bank. As an owner of a Realty Company. We found this to be a little weird to say the least. Of course, when someone wants to rid themselves of any item, an offer to buy looks good. Better when the check clears the bank! I called a friend who works for the FBI and he said that this happens to hundreds of people every month. I then called my banks security department and the first words out of the gentlemen's mouth after I explained the situation were "Scam"." Be happy that you did not send the $5000.00". How many Ebayers have sent the $5000.00 and are too embarrassed to admit to it. I am writing this to you today, to ask you to take responsibility for yourselves. Remember, If anything sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That a contract is something that protects both parties, and if they will not provide one, but merely a check beware this might just be a scam. These people have nothing better to do than to sit at their computers trying to steal your money and you most precious asset your time. Think twice, and remember, there is help out there. Use the Ebay security services, call your bank, and finally..... "Enjoy yourself, it is later than you think". A wise man.
