Stolen Laptops.
There seems to be a popular trend these days... Stealing other people's laptops.
The thief takes no regards as to how much the owner needed the laptop, or how hard the owner worked to pay for the laptop, or how attached and necessary the laptop was for school, work , etc. My daughter's expensive "Dell" Laptop has recently been stolen from her home and we are still paying on it. She needed it for college and now has none. The police said it's pretty much history, that thieves steal laptops and sell them on the street or Ebay for little money compared to the original price.
I have searched Ebay and it's impossible to find the exact one from a darkened photo, however, I have found that alot of the laptops have no information with them....and that's because the laptops are password protected and most thieves are not capable of breaking the password to find out what type of computer programs are installed, how much memory the computer has, how much hard drive capacity the computer has, etc.
But if you'll notice directly under where Ebay asks for the information and you see only - - at each question, you notice a homemade pasted "DELL" ad directly underneath the Ebay questions of what the computer contains. Also, Look closely, the computer screens on the photo of the computer they are trying to sell will be blackened out or a fake photo will be there.
I am not saying that all people are being dishonest, or that you shouldn't buy a computer off of Ebay, because you could get a great deal from alot of trustworthy honest Ebayers. But unfortunately, not everyone is honest, so for those people and the sake of us, Why can't we (with Ebay's permission, of course) post the serial numbers of the stolen laptops to look for here on Ebay so we can bring to justice these thief's who are also ripping off the public here on Ebay?
Thanks,
Breezy
