While browsing through E-Bay for that dream V-8 S-10, I noticed an auction for a "Pro street S-10". After looking at the ad that mentioned 450HP (yee-haa) and thats before the Nitrous Oxide !! HOLY COW I thought, what a truck!! Then after reading the ad, I was disappointed, the engine was listed as a 450 hp 355ci small block chevy with a big carb and a lot of chrome- BUT NOTHING ELSE! No where in the ad did it mention anything about compression, cam, intake, ANYTHING! I figured this guy must have that HI-PRO chrome, you know, the kind that adds horsepower! I should also note that nothing about the transmission was added or the rearend (there is NO WAY a stock chevy S-10 10 bolt rear could handle anything near 450 hp without a massive explosion!!) My point....If you decide to buy a Hi performance vehicle on E-BAY, make the seller work for you, if they claim gobs of horsepower, make them prove it, let's see some dyno sheets, just because you add headers and a 4 barrel you don't add 300 horsepower!! Cover all the bases, ask about EVERYTHING - engine, transmission, rear-end, suspension - your going to be spending some serious cash here, make the seller work for you!!! Above all - Don't get ripped off, ask questions and research before you buy.....
