Ok, purchased as I'm looking for a vacuum that will do both floor types as my rooms go from one to the other.
Needed to be able to turn brushes off in order not to scar wood, and keep the dirt from spitting out from under the vacuum.
This one said it was more powerfull then a larger brand name. Well ....
The handle sucks great lots of power from hand operations for cleaning up the dust and corner crevis tool.
The Carpet and bare floor need plenty more power. I'm sorry this one fails the test greatly!
I used older model upright after several good canisters, hesitant on the suction power. Had a great one for years but the plastic parts broke and just strted one after the other, so decided time to go new. After all the new tech. should have improved them.
It didn't. I've tried two so far, and the carpet and floor suction just doesn't clean.
All the hype on pet types are great, they do pick up the dog hair but that's it. After cleaning the first floor, seemed to clean and groom the carpet ok, but didn't hear the dirt going into the cup. Turned off the brush to do the hard floor and the dust was still there. (test with sun comming into the room so you can see it)
Lifted part of my carpet (there is an area where I can lift to see the remaining dirt) Really didn't touch the dirt!
Picked up the dog hair and groomed the carpet, cleaned very well with the hand tools, but base suction is just not there.
Anyone with allergies, should not purchase this unless planning to use just the hand tool attachments.
This one failed miserably!
ps
the dirt cup is a real teller too. only dog hair and light dust from the crevis tool use. Was not filled with even the whole house and with my old the cup had to be emptied from one floor to the other, and was a much larger dirt cup!
