Dear blissmeister,
Hi!
I had read your guide about 10 karat and 14 karat Hongkong jewelry. I wonder if you can check this Item number: 1102665XXXXX if this is fake. Unfortunately I have already win some items from this seller before I had read you guide. I am so worried if I´ll one of the victims. If they are not real, do you think I can scape by paying my winning bids from this seller? Please reply and sen more information.
Million of thanks,
Estrella

Dear xxxxestrella,
Hello Estrella:
Thank you for your recent email regarding my Guides of FAKE gold from Hong Kong. I have reviewed item number 1102665XXXXX. In addition, I have also reviewed the feedback this seller has received. Based on my findings, and the criteria of my own investigation of this seller, I can tell you that the item is NOT gold. It would be my recommendation to you to block that seller or tag it as being a member who does not sell authentic gold, but rather fake.
I appreciate you writing and wish you all the best in your endeavor to weed out what should be removed from the site by ebay itself.
Kind regards,

Dear blissmeister,
Hi blissmeister!
Thank you for youe quick response. I did not pay yet my winning bids from this seller. I am in doubt to pay them all 10 items. I could not bid more than five items in one usersname. So I use two users ID to purchase 10 items. Now I think I am in trouble because I hate fake. Anyway thank you so much in saving me from this Hongkong Shiite!!! Well I have no choise because I hate fake so I won´t pay them. You are an angel!!!
Million of thanks,
Estrella

Dear blissmeister,
I too have fallen prey to the hong kong crap and when buying gold on ebay I no longer purchase anything from them. I usually just delete all world wide.

Dear 48840sue:
I delete the "world wide" in my searches as well. Sadly, it not only removes China and Hong Kong, but all other countries which DO have real authentic gold pieces. But until ebay invents a search which solely excludes Hong Kong, the rest of the world will be paying for ebay's greed, as those countries' items are now excluded in my searches.

Dear blissmeister,
Thank you for posting information on the jewelry scam on the jewelry scam by sellers in Hong Kong. I couldn't understand how their items were being sold at such a low price if they actually were 14k, etc. Unfortunately, I took a chance and bought several items from these auctioners. I've given them to the kids in the neighborhood to use as costume jewelry. I am now hesitant to purchase anything from e-bay for fear of being victimized again. You are correct, Bad, Bad E-bay!

Dear petowner2:
Thank you for writing me regarding my Guide on Hong Kong Shiite . If you have purchased you items recently, at least the seller cannot leave you negative feedback. The new feedback policy will only allow sellers to give positive feedback. This way, you are safe to leave your scamming seller negative feedback without the threat of retaliation.
I am stumped as to why ebay continues to allow those auctions.
Please, do not lose faith in the ebay system. There are a lot of authentic items on the site, but certainly one has to do a lot of weeding to find them. If you are wanting to purchase jewelry on the site, I do not mind looking at pieces for you before you bid... just send me the item number.
Again, thank you for writing.

Dear blissmeister,
I want to congradulate you on your article about exposing Ebay members fraudulantly auctioning fake jewelry claiming it as "genuine" gold or precious stones particularly from China. These items are simulants and costume jewelry. I ran into that scam myself; purchasing items that were junk and then when you complain to the seller, they threaten you with negative feedback. Ebay is "all about the money." They have nothing to lose. Whether you sell or not, they are getting THEIR piece of the action. They wash their hands when there is a problem. Their advice, "Contact the seller & be diplomatic." Like the saying goes...Buyer beware.

Dear blissmeister,
i was reading your guide about Hong Kong extortion -- it was helpful as I was thinking about bidding on a piece of jewelry that originated from that area. The jewelry looks gorgeous in the listing but is listed at 99cents and then there's a $20 shipping fee. It's hard to tell from a picture what you're really getting, and the auction doesn't say much about what you're getting. Would you recommend not purchasing unless there's more information given? Thanks for any help you can give.

Dear blissmeister,
Hey I appreciated your guides on HK Shiite. The main thing I look at to determine whether something is likely fake (other than that it's from HK or China, i don't wanna give a whole continent a black eye) is the price. I keep seeing listings starting at $0.22 or $0.36 & thought they were just low start prices but they end low too. I can't believe ebay won't make these people list these items as GP or GF or whatever they are. One time I got a bracelet and necklace on ebay for 25% below melt value and it was real, but I'd never expect a deal better than that.
Plus, if they're not trying to decieve people into thinking it's solid gold, why list the weight in grams? It makes me so mad and they're making a killing because people are idiots and will buy this crap. Thanks for the guide.
