Cast Iron items often tend to make us remember yesterday. They have appeal for many, as it brings to mind memories from childhood.

One of my favorite is the John Deere reproduction tractor seat. I love country, bold and rustic, have always loved horses, and so decided to accent my home with the true country mountain appeal I not only live in, but want all of my family and guests to enjoy.

I took the tractor seat, purchased wooden materials to fashion a stool from, bolted down the tractor seat, and fashioned some great looking bar stools.

By my entrance, you will be greeted with one of our great cast iron horse head door knockers, and since we live in the mountains, and even though we do not see many moose, my bath is accented with our great cast iron moose towel holders. The dogs leash is hanging handy by the entrance from our cast iron Victorian hooks - elegant, rustic and oh so chic, they are the perfect look I have wanted to achieve for my guests arrival.
