Regardless of weight if you need an item fast for the holday there is no better way than to use the priority envelope at Christmas time and weight does not come into to it.Whatever fits in the envelope is how it works for just under $4 anywhere in the USA.Otherwise economically I use media mail for books which is less then $2 a book.Most sellers will combine shipping for you also.
