Hold the water
Years ago parents gave babies water, thinking the extra fluid was helpin them stay hydrated. These days we know that babies get all the fluids they need from breast milk and formula. Besides, giving an infant water might interfere with her appetite. So unless your baby is formula fed and living in a hot climate, hold off on starting water until she starts eating solids (between 406 mo.). That's when her need for liquids increases.
