New Hobart Mixers are expensive items but we must admit they are worth every thousand dollar and are the best on the market, although there are other quality mixers available also.  That being said a New Hobart and even a used Hobart are worth more than gold in the long run. 

A new 30 quart lists for from $7772 to $10506 depending on the options and a dealer receives a front-end discount of 30% in most cases and they receive a back-end rebate so if you have the ability to barter well or employ some other tactic the ability to reduce the actual price can be considerable.  Some big corporate dealers will sell at cost and their only profit is the rebate which at 10% can be substantial.
