Recently I have lost a few items I really wanted . In the last few minutes or seconds after having the high bid for a week...out of the blue comes a bid that is a few dollars higher than my high bid. Kind of makes you wonder...should this be called an auction format or the "WAR of the Techies"
Sure, sure...sour grapes you say. Thats fine for people who grew up in the age of computers etc.I remember getting my first TV, before that sitting around the parlour listening to Foster Hewitt do the colour commentary on tthe Habs and Leafs on the old tube radio. I guess what one had to do is just avoid bidding unttil the last few seconds of an Ebay "auction". I faithfully follow the item Im after and bid the highest I can afford only to lose it to some guy with a state of the art program....and beats my bid by a mere dollar or two. I considering cancelling my Ebay membership unless this stuff is stopped. The way it works now is it is almost impossible to get a good deal!
I cannot handle the frustration, is there anyway to stop this? If you ask me this is along the same lines as shill bidding!
I lived without Ebay quite happily before and I can do it again.
