Beware of scammers "selling" high end appliances. I reported to Ebay many who were trying to scam buyers on high end Stoves, Ranges, Ovens, Refrigerators, Microwaves etc... The Brands I found most often were; Thermador, Viking, Wolf,  Kitchen Aid, G.E. etc...  I found that most were trying to get me to wire money and then pick up appliance.Using the excuse of ; their PayPal account had "glitches" and if I wanted the appliance in less than 30 days I would need to wire or mail payment. Some offer paypal but would then state that they would give a discount if I mailed payment or gave credit card info. I will also note that many were communicating in broken English via e-mail and were hesitant to respond to EBay only messages. They advertised a very low shipping / freight and very low starting bid, advertising the appliance to be in a small town, USA. Also to note, many were or had no history and used initials as EBay I.D. The advertising appeared to be copied from Makers web page and rare was an actual photo of said appliance posted.  The same appliance / makers web page/ photo/  freight- shipping - starting bid and description was also noted on 2-3 appliances of the same make and model offered for sale simultaneously by "different sellers" all using different I.D.'s .  I began making it a mission to view all the major appliance offerings and report any suspected scammers to EBay and I must say EBay acted quickly in responding to my concerns and removing reported appliances if they found it was indeed a scam after their swift investigations. I was not scammed but it cannot be said enough times that if it sounds to good to be true then it IS ! Please do your part to keep EBay a pleasant experience for all of us who buy and notify others if you suspect any scam. Most important, notify Ebay so they can take action or at the least verify it is not a scam. This is what sellers pay EBay to do as part of the fee's and services to list and sell in this venue. Stay Safe and check carefully before you commit.
