Digital TV is simply Amazing. Tv will be digital in 2009. What will analog signals do?

What do you do if you have analog tv and still use the tv antenna to watch tv? Will it still work after 2009? Feb 17. 2009 is when the on air reception will be no more for analog signals. Everything will be digital. What to do if you have analog tv.

What I have learned is that if you do not have a new HD Tv come 2009 you can still use your tv. What will happen in 2009 is that the analog signals will be gone, however you can get a " Digital Converter Box" that will convert the digital signal to analog. This means if you don't have a digital High Definition tv, you can get a converter box to convert your signal back to analog. This way you don't feel that you have to go out and buy a new tv if you don't want to.

Now at this time, there is no idea as to what the cost of these coverter boxes will cost. From everything that I have read there is no idea on what the cost will be yet.

Why is everyone going digital? The quality is much better.the sound, the picture the data from the image that is projected.  The USA is going to convert both digital and high definition signals all simutaneously.  See with bandwith digital signals can be compressed and work much better. With analog signals you can not compress them as much, the frequency and the picture quality will diminish.

Digital signals will make better opportunity with the broadcasting airwave signals.

Everything seems to be going more high tech these days. Did you know with the new LCD tv's you can hook up your computer & keyboard to the tv screen? It's not just for video games anymore!

It was back in 1998 when the first high definition HDTV hit the market. It has created quite the buzz since.

The National Telecommunications & Information Administration is the government agency that will oversee this distribution for the converter boxes.

Now if you are looking at purchasing a new tv, I would look at the LCD vs. the Plasma. The LCD seem to have less repair vs. the Plasma due to much research.
