What is hidden identity
and
Why would anyone want to
hide their identity.

What is this in the last year I have seen more and more hidden identity’s showing up on ebay both in the listing and bidding, and I have noticed that most of these are of seller/buyer (people or business bidding for an item to just re-sell on ebay) this is really getting out of hand because I have also noticed that they out bid a buy who in most cases only uses ebay to buy only for personal use.
These buy/re-sellers will out bid you then list it on their ebay account for auction at a higher price, and in some cases have no knowledge of the item they are selling.

Now this is bad business if I can not feel that the person I am dealing with is on the up & up then I wonder who it is I am buying from their honesty their true intent, and if they have know knowledge of what they are re-selling then I feel kind of wondering if the item is in good working order or not.
I do not know about you but I want to know who I am dealing with a identity that looks like someone well take my identity (kb5doh) it is a identity that can be checked out by anyone including the law enforcement and ebay and you, it is my federal license number (call sign) for my amateur radio license and can be looked up in many places on the internet and the FCC.
It is scary to see so many now with a ID like j**k or N**f
I would feel better if it was more reveling with more information when the listing shows location of item and all it say is, some place U.S.A. or hometown USA, that agin makes me wonder, a local law enforcement person said how do you know if what your bidding on is stolen or not
you bid you win and someday you sell it or list it as stolen and use put the serial number down and the next thing you know your under arrest for holding stolen property.
Why is it that ebay allows this kind of hidden identity I think it would be more productive to not allow hidden identities and show a little bit more information about the sellers, that is my summation of Identity as for buy & re-sell that is another subject and problem.
