Heroclix is a popular collectable miniature game by wizkids. If you love comics and superheroes (Who doesn't?) then this is the game for you!

In this game you play and collect your favorite superhero figures. As with all collectable games, Heroclix has 2 aspects: Collecting and Playing. Some people only collect the figures (They do look cool!) Other people just like playing the game, and many people like both aspects.

Here is what a Typical heroclix figures looks like:

Pictured above are figures of Superman, Batman and Spiderman. There are hundreds of other superheroes in this game. You can see two components of the figures: The figure itself, and the round figure base. The base has all the figure's powers. It has numbers and statistics for Speed, Attack, Defense and damage. Powers are color coded, meaning a green power on superman's dial gives him Superstrength. As the superheroes take damage, their stats change- You 'click' their dial  clockwise (Hence the name Heroclix) Usually this causes the heroes to weaken and lose powers, but sometimes their powers change or in rare cases taking damage might even make them stronger (Remember The Hulk? )

Rach base has a color ring to indicate rarity:

Yellow Ring (Such as Superman's ring above)  is a Rookie figure, the most common of them all.
Blue Ring (Like Spiderman's above) is an Experienced figure. a bit less common but more powerful then the rookie.
Red Ring:  Veteran figure, less common then the rookie and experience and more powerful.
Silver Ring is a Rare, or "Unique" Figure. Those are usually worth the most.
Gold Ring Is a limited edition figure.

Within the same levels of rarity themselvers some figures are woth more than the others. For example, a Rookie superman is worth more than a rookie Thug.

Heroclix is divided into 3 Universes, each with it's respective superheroes. DC has DC comics heroes such as Batman and Superman, Marvel has Marvel comics heroes such as Spiderman and  The Hulk, and Indy has heroes such as Judge Dredd and Hellboy

Where do you start? You can purchase a Heroclix Booster Pack or Heroclix Starter with random figures;  You could also search for your favorite superheroes such as Superman, Batman, The Flash,, Spiderman, Hulk, Daredevil or Hellboy. another good way to start with some nice figures can be with a Heroclix Grab Bag
