The Antonio Hernandis guitars were first offered for sale in 1969 by Sherry-Brener Ltd through their store, "Antigua Casa de Sherry-Brener, 3145 W. 63rd St., Chicago, Ill." The name Hernandis is a trade name for this quality built instrument. In 1969, all Sherry-Brener instruments offered were hand-made in Madrid. The Hernandis guitars were built with an almost identical design and woods as the Ramirez. They were carefully constructed and have concert quality tone and volume.
