The Les Printemps de Thera by Julie Abadie was produced by Hermes with several other new scarf designs to celebrate their Year of the Mediterranean in 2003.
This design is a straight collage of several of the 3500 year old wall paintings unearthed at Akrotiri in Cyprus... have a look at the Thera Foundation website for more information on this marvellous place. Did you skip that bit above.... these paintings are 3500 YEAR OLD!

This area of the Mediterrean is well worth a long visit, with everywhere at its best during the Spring, when the wild flowers are all out and the weather not yet too hot. By the time that July and August come along it really can be too hot for us northern types to enjoy anything.. but lazing by the swimming pool.
